Business hours and offices
Set opening hours and holidays in Dialstitch so calls route differently when you're closed, and group numbers and people into offices and departments.
Business hours
Admins create schedules under Admin, then Business Hours.
Name the schedule
Enter a Schedule Name and pick a Timezone.
Set weekly hours
Add hours for each day. Use Add Hours for more than one range in a day, such as a lunch break.
Add holidays
Under Holidays & Closures, select Add Holiday and enter the date and a name.
Attach it to a number
Edit the number, open the Hours tab, pick the schedule and choose what happens When closed.
- A day with no hours is closed. A holiday is closed all day.
- Ranges can run past midnight: an end time earlier than the start time ends the next day.
- When closed, calls can go to voicemail, forward to a number, play a message and hang up, or go to the AI agent.
- Workflows can check business hours too, for more control.
Offices and departments
Offices are optional. They help larger teams organize numbers, people, ring groups and queues, and filter reports. Admins manage them under Admin, then Offices.
- An office has a name, time zone, address, default business hours and default emergency address.
- Add departments inside an office.
- Use Assignments to put numbers, people, ring groups and call queues into an office or department.
- A number without its own schedule uses its office's default hours, in the office's time zone.
- Analytics and the wallboard can filter by office or department.
